INCLUSIVE ACCESS

The Future of the Sport is Inclusion

Through investment and partnerships, we are ensuring that all feel welcome, invited, and included.

Inspiring the Next Generation

Our youth access programs serve nearly 11,300 youth annually who may not have otherwise had access to the sport from across 32 of our mountain communities, including Vail, Heavenly, and Park City, as well as from cities surrounding our regional ski areas, such as Boston, New York, Chicago, Detroit, Philadelphia, St. Louis, and more. Our programs provide free on-snow sessions including lessons, meals, rentals, and more, plus mentorship and an introduction to careers in snowsports.

“Representation is really important…Now, I am really not afraid of going out and trying new things just because I feel like I might be the one that is different.”

Adaptive Access

Within equitable access, we focus on adaptive access for those with physical and mental barriers. We partner with over 53 nonprofit organizations to offer adaptive programming, providing impactful in-kind support including lift tickets, ski passes, and office space.

Bridging the Gap

We solve for eligibility gaps by ensuring we continue to support adults and partner organization alumni with access to the sport and the outdoor industry. Through partnerships like the National Brotherhood of Snowsports instructor program and the SOS Outreach Mentor and Alumni we aim to both support access and build a pipeline of talent into the ski and ride industry.

Honoring our Military

In March 2018, we announced special Epic Military Pass products to honor the service of our Vail Resorts founders from the 10th Mountain Division, and the men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces, Canadian Armed Forces, and the Australian Defence Force. This pass allows current and past members of the military and their families to ski at our resorts for a highly discounted price. In addition to passes, we support Veterans programs and advocacy networks at the local and national levels, including the Vail Veterans Program and Wounded Warrior Project.
